Job Description:
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Energy Management System (Transmission OT) database and software systems at the Primary and Backup Control Centers. Responsible for monitoring Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system events and assuring compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) requirements related to the Transmission OT systems.
Note:
There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: Transmission OT System Analyst I, job grade 6; Transmission OT System Analyst II, job grade 7, Transmission OT System Analyst III, job grade 9; or Senior Transmission OT System Analyst, job grade 10. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Senior Transmission OT System Analyst
Hiring Salary Range: $110,000-151,000
Transmission OT System Analyst III
Hiring Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000
Transmission OT System Analyst II
Hiring Salary Range: $78,000-$105,000
Transmission OT System Analyst I
Hiring Salary Range: $71,000-$96,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the following Transmission OT systems:
Real-time database
Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol (ICCP)
PI historian
Real-time calculations
Process Communication Unit (PCU)
SCADA Systems components
Responsible for patching some servers and/or workstations in the Transmission OT environment.
Perform Transmission OT software program development, including coding, testing, implementation and documentation.
Coordinate database and software changes with other departments.
Develop and maintains standards and procedures for EMS database and software systems.
Provide technical support to EMS users as needed.
Adhere to and demonstrate compliance with appropriate electric utility industry regulatory requirements.
Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety. Must be familiar with, and comply with, all aspects of Corporate Policy C-54, Compliance.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with routine event log review for various systems.
Work irregular hours, to include responsibility for the rotating department on-call duty requirement.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Training
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
Training and/or equivalent experience in the database and software related areas of electric utility real time systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Ability to apply and strong knowledge of, principles and practices of computer science and networking concepts.
Ability to apply principles and practices of basic computer hardware, operating systems and software applications.
Ability to perform database queries.
Ability to make clear, consistent, and timely decisions.
