Brief Posting Description
Responsible to the Senior Manager, Safety for achieving the coordination of Safety and Health (S&H) programs within operational units and lines of business. Provides S&H services, including but not limited to industrial safety, industrial hygiene, safety training, and S&H program management. Assist in the development and implementation of S&H programs, procedures, goals and objectives. Works in harmony with management, supervision and employees throughout the association, association members and subsidiaries to assist in the implementation of the safety and health programs.
NOTE : There is one position available and this position will be filled at either the Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator I (Job grade NB16), Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator II (Job grade NB19), Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator III (Job grade NB20), or Senior Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator (Job grade NB22). This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Hiring Salary Range: $50,800-$63,500
Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator II
Hiring Salary Range: $67,600-$84,500
Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator III
Hiring Salary Range: $ 74,300-$92,900
Senior Corporate Safety and Health Coordinator
Hiring Salary Range: $90,000-$112,500

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with all operational units and lines of business to provide S&H services including but not limited to industrial safety, industrial hygiene and S&H training and development for management, supervision and employees.
Work collaboratively with the Transmission and Generation Safety Managers in the development and implementation of S&H programs goals, training and objectives.
Evaluate work practices and conditions; assist Safety Coordinators in the implementation of safety and health programs.
Lead, manage and track S&H inspections and audits companywide; report on findings and assist in the correction of hazards and compliance issues.
Mentor and train newly hired safety coordinators.
Manage and grow safety communications throughout the association by developing and broadcasting information such as leading and lagging metrics, campaigns, select safety events and lessons learned.
Develop, coordinate or provide S&H training as needed.
Participate as a subject matter expert on safety committees and other teams as requested
Prepare requested S&H reports for supervision and management
Administer the Cority S&H information system
Maintain knowledge of new, current, and pending safety regulations and assist in the development of S&H policy and procedures needed to comply with regulations and industry standards
Oversee the outsourcing of instructor led and/or web based S&H training courses
Develop and manage S&H document control program
Provide oversight and maintenance of S&H documents and records
Lead and manage development and/or maintenance of S&H programs, policies and procedures or other documentation as needed.
Lead or assist with significant event learning reviews companywide
Project management of S&H campaigns, programs and projects
Work with Safety Management to develop, administer and monitor budget and forecast.
Adhere to and demonstrate compliance with appropriate electric utility industry regulatory requirements.Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety.Must be familiar with, and comply with, all aspects of Corporate Policy C-54, Compliance.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety and Occupational Health, or closely related field preferred. NOTE: Those with less experience will be hired at the Safety and Health Coordinator I, II or III job grade level, as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Ability to work collaboratively and use teamwork to solve problems.
Must have a mechanical aptitude sufficient to understand related operations and maintenance functions.
Working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, state and consensus adopted and promulgated safety and occupational health laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Proficiency with Microsoft, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook is a must.Ability to research safety and health information is required.
Ability to administer and coordinate training, and maintain training records, using a learning management system.
Ability to develop and provide S&H training to assigned area(s).
Willingness and ability to continuously maintain and improve knowledge and skills through continuing education and participation in professional organizations and meetings.
Skills and abilities needed to design, facilitate, and coordinate projects and teams.
Skills and abilities in time management, meeting deadlines, ensuring the accuracy and quality of work, and demonstrated continuous productivity in work experience.

Eight (8) or more years (or equivalent combination of experience and education) in implementing and managing comprehensive industrial S&H programs.
Prior coal and gas fired power plant and/or transmission utility maintenance experience.
Must be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform all of the essential functions of the position.
Willingness to travel as required. (Must have a valid driver's license)
